The award for Best Arts & Culture Story is one of many new categories added to this year’s Digital Publishing Awards lineup. Arts & culture stories help us make sense of our beliefs, values, behaviours, attitudes and much, much more. These are important stories to tell, and our jury has nominated 3 outstanding pieces for Best Arts & Culture Story.
The award honours the best overall story dealing with issues or subjects of arts, culture or entertainment, including essays, reviews, reporting and/or literary journalism.
This year’s nominees include a choose-your-own-adventure piece, a look at what’s lost when POC entertainers make it into the mainstream and a personal essay reflecting on Leonard Cohen.
