The Call for Entries for the 4th Digital Publishing Awards is now open! This year, the DPAs will be honouring excellence by Canadian digital publishers and creators in 23 categories. Awards for individual creators include a cash prize of $500, and the Freelancer Support Fund is returning for 2019. Note that submissions open on January 2, 2019, and close on February 1, 2019 at midnight ET.

3. Enter the details of each submission
4. Include a URL for each submission
5. Pay the required entry fees ($100 for most entries)
FREELANCER SUPPORT FUND
The Freelancer Support Fund allows freelancers to submit their first two entries at the discounted rate of $50* per submission or 50% of the regular rate. More details about the fund.
DIGITAL PUBLISHING LEADERSHIP AWARD
This award may recognize a writer, visual creator, designer, developer, publisher, or other digital publishing professional whose career contributions to Canadian digital publishing deserve recognition and celebration. Read more about this award and last year’s winner. The deadline for nominations is March 1, 2019.
EMERGING EXCELLENCE AWARD
This award may recognize a writer, visual creator, designer, developer, publisher or other young professional (under the age of 30) who has demonstrated excellence and potential in one or more areas of Canadian digital publishing. Here’s more on this award and the previous recipients. March 1, 2019 is the nominations deadline.
WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR
For 2019, we’re excited to announce the addition of a new category: Best Editorial Newsletter. This award recognizes the work of an editorial team creating original and engaging content in a regular email series.
