Meet Lela Savic: Host of the 2024 Digital Publishing Awards Soirée
Lela Savic will host the 2024 Digital Publishing Awards on June 7. Lela is the founding editor of La Converse, a francophone community-powered media. She has worked at Journal Métro in Montreal, covering politics and human rights, CBC’s investigative show Enquête, La Presse and regularly presents lectures on biases and positionality in the media in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Lela holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Psychology from Concordia University and a certificate in Journalism from the University of Montreal. The misrepresentation of her people in the media, the Roma, pushed her to the world of journalism.
