Gloria Alamrew is a distinguished essayist and voice in contemporary cultural discourse, with her work appearing in Hazlitt, ESSENCE, Refinery29, Parents, YES! Magazine, CBC, InStyle, The Site Magazine, among others. A previous Digital Publishing Awards “Best Personal Essay” finalist, her essays and criticism work excavates the rich terrain where motherhood, Blackness, design, and storytelling converge. From her home in New York, she continues redefining cultural criticism through the lens of Black motherhood in diaspora, exploring questions of belonging, legacy, and the homes we build, both literal and metaphysical.

Artiste visuel et graphiste, Johan Batier évolue dans le milieu du graphisme montréalais depuis 25 ans, ayant œuvré au sein de divers environnements professionnels — agences de communication, magazines, journaux et studios de post-production. Il a notamment consacré huit ans à La Presse et s’est distingué par l’obtention de plusieurs prix de graphisme décernés par la Society for News Design (États-Unis). Parmi ses réalisations notables, on compte une collaboration avec le réputé magazine L’Actualité, la conception de l’identité visuelle des boulangeries L’Amour du pain dans la grande région de Montréal, ainsi qu’une participation aux côtés de l’équipe Spafax à la création de plusieurs magazines de bord (inflight). Il a également accompagné le journal Métro — ainsi que ses 22 éditions locales à Montréal et à Québec — dans sa transformation graphique et numérique en tant que directeur artistique, lui insufflant une esthétique résolument magazine.
C’est indéniablement sous l’influence du peintre Pierre Soulages — rencontré au cours de sa formation en arts — qu’il entreprend depuis peu une nouvelle série intitulée Les Cycles. Dans celle-ci, il établit un parallèle entre les moments marquants de l’existence et ses compositions circulaires abstraites en noir et blanc, auxquelles il se consacre avec assiduité.

Diplômée en journalisme de l’Université Concordia et en histoire à l’Université Blaise- Pascal, en France, elle pratique le journalisme écrit depuis une quinzaine d’années. Elle œuvre au Bureau d’enquête du Journal de Montréal depuis 2017. Son parcours l’a notamment menée à l’Assemblée nationale où elle a réalisé plusieurs enquêtes à saveur politique. Elle figure également parmi les rares journalistes québécois à avoir développé une expertise à propos de la jeune industrie du cannabis lors de sa légalisation. Elle a remporté plusieurs distinctions, notamment le Grand Prix Judith-Jasmin et l’enquête de l’année, en 2024. Elle a aussi contribué à la rédaction d’ouvrages sur la politique et le trafic de drogue. Elle transmet sa passion pour son métier auprès des étudiants en journalisme à l’Université du Québec à Montréal où elle est chargée de cours. Elle est aussi engagée envers sa profession. Elle a notamment été administratrice de la Fédération professionnelle des journalistes du Québec et a été porte-parole des Semaines de la presse et des médias en 2025.

Dubbed “Mr. Montreal” by CBC Arts, Richard “Bugs” Burnett is an arts and culture journalist and columnist. His pioneering column Three Dollar Bill is the only syndicated LGBTQ column in Canadian publishing history, and is now conserved in The ArQuives in Toronto. In 2019, Bugs received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Chambre de Commerce LGBT du Québec at their annual Prix Phénicia Gala, and in 2025 received “Canada’s Inspiring Person of the Year Award” from the national INSPIRE Awards. Bugs has interviewed everybody from Cher to Justin Trudeau, got the last-ever sit-down interview with the late James Brown, and knows his hometown like a drag queen knows a cosmetics counter. Tourisme Montréal says, “As Michael Musto is to New York City, Richard Burnett is to Montreal.”

Elle a aussi réalisé le balado Passé date? qui raconte l’histoire du Québec et du Canada aux adolescents du secondaire, gagnant d’un prix Numix en 2022. La même année, sa série Garde-manger, qui révèle les histoires cachées des aliments, a été nommée aux Digital Publishing Awards. Au cours des dernières années, elle a réalisé, monté, scénarisé ou accompagné plus d’une cinquantaine de projets audios. Anne-Sophie travaille maintenant comme réalisatrice indépendante. Elle a travaillé comme réalisatrice balado pour Québecor et précédemment pour Radio-Canada. Elle a un Baccalauréat en Études théâtrales, un certificat en journalisme et elle est diplômée du Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.

She was the first journalist in residence at Toronto’s Osgoode Hall Law School, researching and writing on LGBTQ equality rights in Canada and prior to that, Gail was the long-time editor in chief of the most comprehensive group of publications and digital products covering the law in Canada. She has also been instrumental in the design and launch of multiple magazines, websites and digital media strategies.

Rick Westhead is TSN’s Senior Correspondent and a two-time winner of Canadian sports writer of the year, presented by Sport Media Canada. Canadian Journalists for Freedom of Expression recognized him in 2023 with the Arnold Amber Award for Investigative Journalism. Westhead breaks news of consequence and has won six Canadian Screen Awards for his original features for various TSN properties. In 2025, he was recognized for his “fearless reporting” by The Hockey News in its list of 100 People of Power and Influence in hockey. Prior to joining TSN, Westhead served as a foreign correspondent for the Toronto Star, where he reported on the ground in countries including Afghanistan, China, and Saudi Arabia
