2027 submission dates
- Entries open: December 1, 2026
- Early-bird deadline: January 15, 2027
- Final entry deadline: January 22, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time
- Payment received by: February 12, 2027 (regular entries)
- Leadership and Emerging Excellence nominations: March 1, 2027
The 2027 awards recognize work published from January 1 to December 31, 2026.
Fees
Entry fees are $115 plus HST at the early-bird rate, through January 15, 2027, and $130 plus HST at the regular rate.
Independent creators submitting their own work may qualify for the Freelancer Support Fund.
The same early-bird and regular entry fees apply to all categories, including Emerging Excellence, Editorial Achievement of the Year and Digital Publishing Leadership. See the category-specific requirements.
Payment
We prefer Interac e-transfer or Zeffy to help the Foundation avoid payment processing fees. Include your invoice number with every payment so we can match it to your entries.
- Interac e-transfer: send payment to staff@magazine-awards.com.
- Zeffy: our payment partner covers credit card processing fees, allowing the Foundation to receive your full payment. Any contribution to Zeffy at checkout is optional. The payment link will be added before the call for entries opens.
- PayPal: also available for online payments.
Payment for regular entries must be received by February 12, 2027 for those entries to be sent for judging. Leadership and Emerging Excellence nominations remain open until March 1, 2027.
