We’re thrilled to announce that Erica Lenti is hosting the 6th annual—and first-ever virtual—Digital Publishing Awards winners’ celebration!
“It’s an honour and privilege to be your emcee for the 2021 Digital Publishing Awards, celebrating the industry’s finest work from—where else?—the comfort of my Toronto apartment! As this pandemic keeps us all cooped up in our respective spaces, it’s so important to take the time to recognize the incredible work creators have done in this past, unprecedented, year. In fact, 2020 showed us firsthand just how vital the work of our country’s writers, editors, publishers, artists and creators is. So, no matter where you are, I hope you’ll join us in celebrating yet another fantastic year of excellence in Canadian digital journalism.”
Erica Lenti is an award-winning Toronto writer and editor. She’s currently a senior editor at Xtra Magazine, Canada’s LGBTQ2S+ online magazine, where she oversees politics and identities coverage. She’s also one-half of Xtra‘s L Word recap podcast, Off the Chart. She previously served as editor-in-chief of This Magazine and deputy editor at Torontoist, and her work has appeared in The Walrus, The Globe and Mail, Toronto Life, Hazlitt and more.
In 2019, she led the Digital Publishing Awards-winning coverage of the Canadian federal election from an LGBTQ2S+ perspective for Xtra, and she is a two-time National Magazine Award finalist.
